Shaneta Oliver is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. After earning her B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of North Florida, Shaneta worked to increase access and equality for underserved communities in Duval County Public Schools. She began her teaching career as a 1st grade Teacher at Woodland Acres Elementary School where she served for 3 years. Fueled by her commitment to improving the education experience for all students, she relocated to Nashville as a 2nd Grade Teacher at Rocketship Education in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2017-2019, she served as the Founding Instructional Coach and Grade Level Chair with KIPP Nashville College Prep Elementary School. Shaneta transitioned back to her hometown and served as a 1st Grade Teacher and English Language Arts Content Team Lead with KIPP Jacksonville Schools for 2 academic years. Shaneta joins the Becoming Collegiate Academy team as the Founding Dean of Operations (DOO). As DOO, Shaneta is excited to establish life-long relationships with Becoming families while building and maintaining strong community partnerships to ensure a quality educational experience for all students that prepares them for college and life.
